FAQ

Everything you need to know!

Our FAQ section is here to answer your questions about EarthBeat, to ensure that your visit is an amazing experience!

Are you staying overnight?

For the full grounding experience, you’re invited to sleep under the stars, whether in a hammock between trees, a tent, a pop-up camper, or an RV. Just make sure to purchase the camping option with your ticket, bring your tent and everything else you need to be comfy.

Pitch your tent in an open meadow, or in the cedar forest.
Bringing a camper? We have a spot for you in our parking field out front! Please do not run generators at night and respect quiet time after midnight. All sites are unserviced so bring your flashlights and batteries.

Can we have Campfires?

There will be a nightly Community Fire by the Meadow Tent, all are welcome. Our Fire Keeper will maintain it for you, so just bring your chairs and blankets, and enjoy the special Campfire programs we have for you on Friday and Saturday night (see EarthBeat Schedule for details)
As well, a small sacred fire will be lit during our opening circle and closed at the end of our weekend. It will burn, day and night, and will be looked after by our assigned fire keepers. Everyone is welcome to offer prayers, or to sit quietly in reflection.

Absolutely NO FIRES or OPEN FLAMES are allowed in any forested areas.

What about washrooms?

Porta Potties will be located all around the grounds, close to camping areas and our food court. These will be kept fresh and serviced all weekend long by a crew of volunteers.

And showers?

Enjoy our refreshing cold cedar wood shower! Just bring your own eco-friendly, biodegradable soap, shampoos, and towels.

Food to fuel your weekend

At EarthBeat we are encouraging our visitors to share meal time together in our dining tent, taking the opportunity to get to know each other over food and letting the conversations flow!
Although you are welcome to bring your own food, we will have a variety of healthy food vendors with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, with options for all dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan and carnivore!) They’ll also cover any times when you just want a little snack.

If you are bringing your own food to cook please join us in the food court area where you may use our community BBQs. Remember – no cooking in the forest!

We are encouraging everyone to bring your own plate, bowl, utensils and drinking vessels. We will have a limited number of eco-friendly plates and utensils, as well as lots of recycling containers to minimize our garbage waste. And our food vendors will be happy to serve your food on your plates, to avoid using paper plates. There will be a washing station with soap for you to clean your plates after eating.

Our fresh potable well water will be available for you to fill your water bottles all weekend long, at no cost. The well water is tested regularly.

What if I forget something?

If you can’t find someone to help you with anything you may be missing for your stay with us, there are hardware, grocery and convenience stores within 15 minutes of Cedar Woods on Station.

Can I bring my pet?

Although we love our pets, unfortunately there are no pets allowed on site. This is mainly due to health and safety reasons. If you require a service animal, please contact us ahead of your visit.

Will I need cash?

Although some artisans and food vendors may accept debit, credit or etransfer, we suggest bringing some cash.

Is there wheelchair access?

There are stairs and terraced lawn to traverse the hill down to the stage and pond area. As well, there is wheelchair access to the lower areas via a packed gravel laneway.

And finally, some gentle reminders

EarthBeat is a family friendly event bringing soulful music, inspiring activities, shared meals and deep connections with nature and each other. There will be no alcohol served and we ask that you respect our no drug policy. (This is per our agreement with our Township, and also in accordance with our Event Insurance policy).

We ask that all patrons please be considerate of your surroundings as this is a family festival. Please smoke only in the designated area.

We invite you to wind down your day at our Community Fire, and get adequate sleep so that you can take part in our morning activities.

We ask you to be kind to this beautifully maintained private property, known as Cedar Woods on Station. Bring only what you need and leave no trace when you move on to the next place in your journey.
